Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the views of M. O. Koyalovich on the problem of the historical fate and future of the Belarusian people. Interrelation between the worldview of M. O. Koyalovich and the ideas of Slavophiles has been explicated. Historical and philosophical reconstruction of the process of forming by M. O. Koyalovich of the concept of the development of Belarusian lands in the 19th century was carried out. Main provisions of his program for the national revival of Belarusians are revealed: creation, with the help of the Great Russia, of national aristocracy, artisancommercial and industrial stratum, public education was created, Belarusian identity in conditions of intercivilizational conflicts was preserved. It is shown that one of the main ideas in the work of M. O. Koyalovich, which has retained its importance in the modern era, was his thought about the unique ability of the Belarusian mentality to combine in its picture of the world the spiritual diversity of world cultures.

Abstract

This article is relevant, first of all, for compatriots, as it addresses issues of the cultural heritage of Eastern Slavic peoples. The article discusses worship and rituals in East Slavic paganism as the most important part of the religious life of Belarusians, Ukrainians and Russians. The issues of the origin and development of these phenomena are analyzed. Numerous examples show the diversity and importance of the system of rites, rituals and worship in ancient and modern Slavic paganism. It is noted that the activities and heritage of the wanderers and the Magi are significant material for studying the culture of our ancestors. The most visited religious objects are distinguished: first of all, sanctuaries, temples, burial mounds, burials of the Magi, the graves of ancient Russian princes of the pre-Christian time. For thousands of neo-pagans, the reverent attitude to the object of worship serves as the fulfillment of the will of the ancestors. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of worship and rites in East Slavic paganism, to show the influence of historical, geographical, cultural factors on their formation. This work may be useful for solving urgent problems of interaction with representatives of different religious denominations.

Abstract

For the first time in historiography generalized information based on the analysis of published literature is presented on the joint military operations of the partisan formations of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine on the communications of German troops around the Gomel transport hub during the period of heavy defensive battles of the Red Army on the southern flank of the Soviet-German front. The most important joint military partizan operations of neighboring Soviet republics on the rail way, highways and dirt roads are mentioned. The periods of high activity of partisans fighting on the transport com- munications of the Gomel region in the spring – autumn 1942 are identified and marked. The forms of the help a large land of partizan in expanding sabotage on enemy targets in the occupied territory of Belarusian Polesieare shown. The role of special forces sent to the region from the Soviet rear, to intensify the activities of the local partisans is outlined. As a result of analysis of the sources new information is included about the interaction of partizan groups and groups of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine by applying blows to the German troop train with human resources, military equipment, fuel, food. The draw conclusions show the results of the activities of partisans in the spring – autumn 1942, it is stated that the people’s avengers provided real help to the Red Army troops who were engaged in heavy defensive battles against the Nazi invaders in the area of the Volga.

Abstract

An objective and comprehensive analysis of the course, results, significance and prospects of studying the history of liberal parties and their departments in Belarus at the beginning of the 20th century was carried out. When determining periods in the development of historiography of the study of political parties, pre-revolutionary, Soviet, and modern (or newest) historiography is distinguished. It is concluded that Russian and Belarusian historiography thoroughly, from different conceptual and methodological positions, studied the liberal movement of the early 20th century, noting almost all possible points of view on its role and place in the country’s social and political life. Further prospects for a scientific search on this issue lie on different planes: the identification and study of those factors of the socio-political development of Belarus that made impossible a historical compromise between the authorities and liberals; a more detailed study of political biographies and belief systems of representatives of the liberal movement, not only leaders, which has already been partially done, but also “simple” participants, as well as factors that influenced their worldview; a detailed study of the sociocultural environment in Belarus, in which liberal values were formed. The methodological apparatus of historical research requires updating: the use of macro- and micro-approaches of the new social history, psychohistory, semiotics; research problems must be solved by means borrowed from different fields of knowledge.

Abstract

Term system formation of archeography is specific because of the fact that it includes at the present stage of development not only the terms of methods, methodology, edition theory of historical documents and terms of practical activity - editions of historical documents studied as part of archeography, but also the fields of activity related to this retro-edition, in particular, publishing affairs of other scientific disciplines working on methods of retroedicism first of all, textology. When forming the term system of archeography, ordered in accordance with the requirements of scientific methodology, the range of studied and included term units is significantly expanded, and its necessary to extrapolate the terms of related fields of knowledge, in an interdisciplinary projection. When constructing the terminological system of archeography in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary projection, the correlation of its basic concepts with the basic concepts of documentology, the tasks of which include, among other things, the metatheoretical generalization of the conceptual apparatus of documentary information sciences and related scientific disciplines, dramatically increases the importance. At the present stage of the development of archeography, which is characterized by competition of pre-terms and terms, displacement of first terms by second ones, there are prerequisites for building its consistent term system.

Abstract

The article deals with the nominative series of verbs formed from adjectives that implement the value of “to give a sign” in Russian and Belarusian languages. Special attention is paid to the study of equivalent derivational combinations that make up the nominative series of such verbs, their functioning in closely related languages. The most regular discrete correspondence of causative verbs is a fairly simple derivational model “do what”, while the analytical structures may include related units not only belonging to different parts of speech, but also separated from the motivating adjective by several steps of productivity. Other types of phrases actively participating in the derivational function can also take part in organizing nominative series. The study revealed whole microsystems of incomplete nominative series: with a synthetic or analytical component. Detailed analysis of such nominative series allows us to identify various causes of its occurrence (semantic, formal, stylistic). Significant differences in the derivational potential of adjective verbs in the Russian and Belarusian languages can be found not only in the semantic-word-formation of specific word-formation pairs, but also in later stages of derivation, as part of more complex associations of related units, different fragments of derivational nests (word-formation chains, paradigms).

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the author’s paroimia “If you like printing, you should like to be prisoned”. In the course of working with the sources of the period of the first Russian revolution, the only case of using this paroimia in the rubric “New Proverbs” of the socio-political satirical magazine “Zarnitsy” was revealed. The scientific novelty of the study is that for the first time the author’s paroimia “If you like printing, you should like to be prisoned” is analyzed, which has not previously attracted the attention of researchers. The methods of component, contextual, logical and semiotic analysis, as well as analysis of vocabulary definitions were used in the work. As a result of the study, the following results were obtained: 1) a source paroimia was established; 2) a structural and semantic transformation of the source paroimia was characterized; 3) recognition of the author’s paroimia was scientifically grounded in its system prototype; 4) an analysis of the events of Russian history of the period of the first Russian revolution, which led to the emergence of a new paroimia, was done, 5) the author’s paroimia judgment was formulated, its type was defined. The final part of the article outlines the prospects for further research.

Abstract

For the first time in the Belarusian liturgical musicology analysis of the attitude of domestic composers to Christian sources: themes, images, style, church singing culture in general is carried out. It is proved that the interest of the Belarusian musicians of the period of state sovereignty focuses on two Christian denominations – the Western and Eastern European; that the compositions of composers in their essence are representatives of musical art, and not of liturgical singing practice, and also, that the basis of the composer’s work is the phenomenon of interpretation. Three types of composer interpretation of church tradition are distinguished: «leverage» (transposition, re-establishment), author’s transcription and conventionality. The main conclusion of the work: the spiritual stratum of the national musical culture of modern times, presented by composer creativity, is a peculiar aesthetic euphemism between Eastern and Western Christianity, which manifests itself in various aspects.

Abstract

The article examines the VII and X ‘Odessan Sonnets’ by Adam Miсkiewicz, which are translations of the СХІІ and LXI sonnets by Petrarch from the ‘Canzoniere’. A comparative analysis of Polish and Italian texts is carried out. The problem of the loss of VII and X ‘Odessan Sonnets’ by Adam Mickiewicz when translating this cycle into other languages is noted. The study of the translation strategy of Adam Mickiewicz suggests that these sonnets can be considered as original author’s works having intertextual connections with CXII and LXI sonnets of Francesca Petrarch. This circumstance opens up the possibility for translations VII and X ‘Odessan Sonnets’ by Adam Mickiewicz into foreign languages.

Abstract

The article presents the research results of the institute of reserved wages, which is a new research area in the Republic of Belarus. Reserved salaries are presented from the perspective of the methodology of labor economics. Options for assessing the level of reserved wages are discussed both from the point of view of individuals who are searching for a new job, and from the position of the state that sets its level in the national economy of the country. The work uses data from macro statistics of the Republic of Belarus for the period 2004–2016. The evaluation results showed that the reserved wages in Belarus differ from the wage rates in the country, and this indicates that its level is not overstated and it is adequate to the conditions of the Belarusian labor market. Its level stimulates the activation of employment of unemployed individuals. It is proved that in the Belarusian economy, the main determinants that affect the level of reserved wages are the number of unemployed at the age of 45 + years, youth unemployment (less than 19 years) and the number of unemployed with higher education, the level of average nominally accrued wages. Belarusian estimates showed that the result of a job search objectively depends on the level of wages.
